On March 18, we left the highlands of Rwanda and returned to the capital city, Kigali. The plan was to visit the genocide museum but I decided I couldn't take that and returned to the hotel. Carol went on to the museum. Hotel - shower, air conditioning, yeah! That evening we had a talk from Louise Leakey, Explorer in residence and grand daughter of Richard Leakey who was famous for his fossil findings of our ancient ancestors in Africa. Fun and interesting talk.
Next day we got back on the jet for the trip to Barcelona, the last stop before returning to London. Next morning we took a tour of the city. We had been to Barcelona before but it was interesting to visit some of the places we hadn't seen before plus see the progress on the construction at the Sagrada Familia.

In the evening we had our farewell dinner. The whole tour group got together for dinner and entertainment and to bid farewell. We were entertained by a troup of acrobatic kids and adults who built a huge human pyramid. Aparently this is a traditional form of entertainment in this area and clearly requires a lot of skill and nerve.

We knew this was the end of the trip so there were reminicences and farewells before returning to the hotel and packing for the journey home.
