Needless to say, everything got packed, more or less and we set off yesterday for London. Surprisingly the journey was uneventful - there's usually something goes wrong, especially around Heathrow, but this time it was a breeze. We met up with our friends and travel companions Lisa and Kevin for dinner and had fun talking endlessly about the upcoming trip. It's beginning to get exciting!
Carol and I are spending the day (what's left of it after sleeping late) with our niece, Jennifer - art galleries, afternoon tea, theatre in the evening. Definitely the calm before the storm.
