This 5am thing was becoming a (bad) habit. We rose again early and took a drive through the dark to the airstrip where they served breakfast before boarding our planes back to Gabarone where we met up with our jet for the journey ro Rwanda. This was going to be another long day - 2 hour drive to the airstrip, nearly 2 hour flight to Gabarone, hang around for an hour at the airport, 3 1/2 hour flight to Kigali, Rwanda followed by a 3 hour drive to our hotel in the Volcanoes national Park in the north. We arrived exhausted but in great anticipation of trekking and seeing the mountain gorillas the next day. We would not be disappointed.
