After the train journey we boarded the bus for Cusco which would take 2 hours. We travelled back through much of the same spectacular scenery we had seen on the outwatrd journey. We also stopped for a break next to a small local community and I got a chance to photograph some local kids.
For a few Sols (local currency) and some candy from Alvin, we had fun taking pictures and showing them how happy they looked for the camera.
It rained on the way back and we were treated to a nice rainbow.
We reached Cusco around 6pm and went to our hotel - hotel Monasterio del Cusco. This was a converted Monastery, in the middle of Cusco. Really nice. We had dinner with the group, serenaded by two opera singers.
Yes, it had, in fact, been a long day.
