Saturday, April 12. We were very conscious of this being our last full day in the Galapagos. We had sailed overnight, again, to San Cristobal and had set anchor at Punta Pitt. The thing about this location is that it is the only site on the Galapagos where you can find red-footed Boobies (yes, red!).
So, at 8am, we set off on the zodiacs for Punta Pitt. We had an extremely wet landing and a strenuous hike up across a volcano ridge to look for the illusive bird.
Well, of course, we found it perched on a sheer cliff which we had to hang over to get a shot.

And with chicks too.

And, just to prove we were actually there, a rare photo of Carol and I ovelooking a specatcular view of the bay.
