Monday, April 14. We managed to escape the rain and set of by bus to the sacred valley, about a 1.5hr drive. We would be descending from 11,000 ft to around 7,000 feet but along the way we crossed a magnificent high plateau.
This gave way to more mountainous terrain.
We then descended into the valley and arrived at our hotel late in the afternoon.
The hotel - Hotel Sol y Luna, was really great, one of the best we’ve stayed in. It was a bit like Meadowood with individual “houses”. Restaurant was great, everything was great. If you go to this part of the world any time, stay there.
